Sambrook's NEW Junction Ale!

Sambrook's New Junction Ale was released in November and is now being enjoyed in good pubs all over London. At 4.5%ABV and deep amber in colour it is a great drop for those cold winter days.

Named after our local railway station, this ale continues the fine quality the Sambrook's established with Wandle ale.  The new addition of Bramling Cross hops adds delicious blackcurrant aromas and flavours with spicy notes that will warm your spirits.

Check your local pub and try a pint and if they don't have it tell them to get it on tap. As of this week Junction Ale will also be available in 500mL bottles from selected retailers and our Brewery Shop.

Christmas is only two weeks away!

With only two weeks left in the rush to the end of the year, Sambrook's Ale gift packs might be just the stocking filler you need. Available in 3,4 and six packs of Wandle Ale and Junction Ale with Embossed Sambrook's pint glasses.

Perfect for a team reward, a prized gift for a loved one or perhaps just a nice treat for yourself.

Starting at just £7.50 to £14.50 they are sure to put a smile on everyone's face this Christmas.

Wandle Ale Stew

Here is a hearty Steak and Ale stew. Perfect for those cold winter nights! It's also a great way to use up that last bit of ale in your polypins...if you managed to leave any. Great with buttery mash and peas. Of course the best accompaniment to this would be a nice pint of Wandle Ale.

Ingredients

  • 500g braising/stewing beef cut into 2cm cubes
  • 2Tbsp flour
  • 1Tbsp butter
  • 3-4 carrots (peeled and cut into 2cm chunks)
  • 1 medium brown onion quartered
  • 2 cloves of garlic chopped
  • 500mL Sambrook's Wandle Ale
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 2-3 sprigs of Thyme
  • salt & pepper to season
  1. Season the flour and toss with beef pieces to coat lightly.
  2. Brown the floured beef in the butter ensuring a good golden colour.
  3. Add the onions and garlic frying for 1 min until transclucent.
  4. Add the Wandle Ale and the rest of the ingredients. Top with beef stock or water to just cover the ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1-1½ hours until beef is tender and sauce is reduced.
  5. Season to taste and enjoy with another pint of Wandle!
